| Well, it's likely that the vehicle was not properly filled with coolant after the radiator was replaced. It's quite easy to get air trapped in the system if you do not bleed it properly after filling it. Providing that you stopped right away you might not have caused anything major. That's what you will hope for. But overheating can cause problems, it can warp heads, etc. I'd just find the leaks (if you blew hoses off) and properly fill the system with coolant. Since my garage is nearly level, I always drive the car up on a 2x4 or whatever so the front of the vehicle is elevated... I'm sure there must be a FAQ on how to fill the radiator properly. Maybe search for it...and then follow that. It is very easy to NOT get all the air out of the system if you aren't careful. And then it will over heat in short order. That's what it sounds like has happened to you here.
